This page explains how Polis Re (polisre.com) works, so that you can understand our role when you compare insurance, use our calculators or request a quote. Questions: info@polisre.com, +1 929 207 0015.

Who we are

Polis Re (polisre.com) operates an insurance marketplace, information and referral service. We publish guides and comparisons, list insurers, provide calculators, accept quote requests and support inquiries about reinsurance placement.

We are not an insurance company

Polis Re does not underwrite risks, issue policies, or pay claims. Insurance policies are issued by licensed insurers. Claims are decided and paid by the insurer that issued your policy, according to the policy terms and applicable law.

Licensing

In the United States, anyone who sells, solicits or negotiates insurance must hold a producer license in the relevant state for the relevant lines of insurance. Where a license is required, quotes, binding and policy placement are handled by licensed partner producers in your state. In other countries, policies are placed through intermediaries and insurers authorized under local law. You can verify any producer's license through your state insurance department.

How Polis Re may be compensated

Using polisre.com is free for visitors. Polis Re may receive compensation from insurers, licensed producers or other partners, such as commissions, referral fees or marketing fees, when a request is handled or a policy is purchased. Compensation may vary by insurer, product and partner. Compensation arrangements do not change the premium the insurer charges you for the same policy, unless a fee is separately disclosed to you and permitted by law. You may ask us at any time how compensation applies to your request.

Not a guarantee of coverage

  • Calculator results and preliminary prices are estimates, not offers.
  • Submitting a request does not bind coverage. Coverage begins only when an insurer confirms it in writing and required premium is paid.
  • Insurers decide eligibility, pricing and terms after underwriting and may decline an application.
  • Coverage is governed by the actual policy, including its exclusions, limits, deductibles and conditions.

Which insurers we show

Our company profiles and comparisons cover many insurers, but not every insurer or every product available in the market. The order in which insurers or products appear does not, by itself, mean that one is better than another for your situation. Financial strength ratings, rankings and other third-party data are shown with their source and date and may change after publication.

Content is general information

Articles, guides and glossary entries are educational. They are not legal, tax or financial advice. Insurance requirements and policy forms differ by state and country. For decisions about your own situation, read the policy and, where appropriate, consult a licensed producer, attorney or tax adviser.

Your information

When you submit a form, your information is sent to the Polis Re team and stored in our customer relationship management (CRM) system. To process a quote request, we share necessary details with insurers and licensed partner producers. See our privacy policy for details.
