1. What Polis Re is
Polis Re is an information service, insurance marketplace and referral service. We publish educational content, provide calculators and comparison tools, accept quote requests and support reinsurance placement inquiries. Polis Re is not an insurance company and does not issue insurance policies. Policies are issued by licensed insurers and placed through licensed producers in your state or country. Our relationship with insurers and producers is described in our disclosures.
2. Information only, not advice
Articles, guides, glossary entries, company profiles and other content are provided for general information. They are not legal, tax, investment or financial advice and do not replace reading your policy or consulting a qualified professional. Insurance laws, required coverages and policy forms differ by state and country. Information about insurers, including ratings and rankings, comes from third-party sources and may change after publication.
3. Estimates are not offers
Calculator results and preliminary price indications are estimates based on the information you enter and general assumptions. They are not offers of insurance, binders or guarantees of price or coverage. Actual premiums, terms and eligibility are determined only by the insurer after underwriting. Coverage begins only when an insurer confirms it in writing and any required premium is paid.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information in forms and applications. Incorrect information can affect quotes and may give an insurer grounds to deny a claim or cancel a policy.
- Read the policy, including exclusions and conditions, before you buy.
- Keep your personal account login confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at scale, submit false requests, upload malicious code or impersonate others.
5. Personal account
You may register a personal account to save requests and calculator results. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or are used fraudulently. You may close your account at any time by contacting info@polisre.com.
6. Translations
Additional languages are provided through Google Translate. Automatic translations may be inaccurate. If there is any difference between a translation and the English text, the English text prevails.
7. Intellectual property
Site content, design and software are owned by Polis Re or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other copying, republishing or commercial use requires our written permission. Trademarks and logos of insurers and other companies belong to their owners and are used for identification only.
8. Third-party sites
The site may link to regulators, insurers and other third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Polis Re is not responsible for an insurer's decisions on underwriting, pricing, coverage or claims. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws where you live.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Polis Re against claims and costs arising from your violation of these terms or misuse of the site, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information submitted through the site, including form data sent to the Polis Re team and our CRM.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
