About Admiral

Admiral launched on 2 January 1993 as a Welsh motor insurer. A management buy-out followed in 1999, and Admiral Group floated on the London Stock Exchange in September 2004. Head office: Tŷ Admiral, David Street, Cardiff CF10 2EH.

Brands and products

In the UK the group sells motor, home, pet and small-business cover and personal loans under brands including Admiral, Elephant, Diamond, Bell, Gladiator and Veygo. It also launched Confused.com, the first UK insurance price comparison site, in 2002.

International

Outside the UK, Admiral operates Balumba in Spain, ConTe.it in Italy and L'olivier Assurance in France. It has no US insurance business. US drivers can compare carriers on our auto insurance page.
