About AIA
AIA's history began in 1919, when Cornelius Vander Starr established an insurance agency in Shanghai and later founded International Assurance Company (INTASCO). The company moved its head office to Hong Kong and became American International Assurance Company. AIA Group Limited listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in 2010, in what was then the third-largest IPO globally.

AIA describes itself as a leading life insurer with operations in 18 markets. It offers individual life, critical illness, medical and savings products, group insurance for employers, and pension products such as MPF in Hong Kong. Its wellness program, AIA Vitality, rewards healthy habits.
