In June 2003 MAAF Assurances and MMA created Covéa, France's first mutual insurance group company (SGAM); AZUR-GMF joined in 2005. The group builds on mutual insurers founded as early as 1819 and 1828. Head office: 86-90 rue Saint Lazare, Paris.

Through the MAAF, MMA and GMF brands, Covéa insures cars, homes, families and businesses, and offers life, health and legal protection. The group has about 24,000 employees.
