About Elephant
Elephant Insurance was launched in 2009 by the British insurer Admiral Group as a direct car insurer in the United States. Its corporate headquarters is at 8801 Park Central Drive, Richmond, Virginia. Admiral agreed in 2025 to sell the business to private investment firm J.C. Flowers & Co., and Elephant has announced the completion of that sale.
