Everest Group, Ltd. is a Bermuda-based reinsurance and insurance organization whose history dates to 1973. It trades on the NYSE under EG, is part of the S&P 500, and keeps major U.S. corporate offices in Warren, New Jersey. The company was previously named Everest Re Group, Ltd.
Business
Everest has two main segments. Reinsurance (the larger part of premiums) covers treaty and facultative property and casualty, marine and aviation, surety and credit, and accident and health. Insurance writes property and casualty, specialty lines and accident and health coverage, mainly through brokers, surplus lines channels and general agents. In 2025 Everest agreed to sell renewal rights for certain retail commercial insurance lines to AIG.

Everest's active operating subsidiaries are rated A+ (Superior) by AM Best; Everest Reinsurance Company is also rated A+ by S&P and A1 by Moody's.
