It grew through acquisitions including American Benefit Life, Winfield Life, Capitol Life and Continental Life. Today it is part of Liberty Bankers Insurance Group in Dallas, together with Capitol Life Insurance Company, American Benefit Life Insurance Company and American Monumental Life Insurance Company.
