West Bend traces its history to 1894, when local business owners in West Bend, Wisconsin, formed a mutual insurance company after a fire destroyed a commercial block; its constitution was adopted on April 13, 1894. Today West Bend Insurance Group is headquartered at 1900 South 18th Ave. in West Bend and writes through West Bend Insurance Company, West Bend Premier Insurance Company and West Bend Select Insurance Company. It is also known as West Bend Mutual Insurance.
